what’s afoot at the heart center
The Healing Hearts Foundation (HHF) is our 501(c)(3) organization. It is now licensed to provide outpatient treatment services for mental health issues, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders. We have been so excited to see this come into being. HHF is housed at 1384 Madison Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104. It offers the same services as The HART Center that is also housed at this location. Both of these organizations are funded through the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. We have written grants specifically for HHF.
The house next door is still under renovations. We have just about completed the outside painting. We have new energy efficient windows all around the house. Most of them are 6 feel tall. The ceilings inside are 12 feet. We have a new heating and air conditioning system. A wall that was dividing the large front room is now down and ready for prepping and painting. That is the room that will host Open Heart Night on Tuesday nights. We hope to be able to reinstate that community service in April, once all of the treatment rooms are completed. It is going to be such a joyful and beautiful environment. We are currently seeking paintings and other art to bring into the space to help co-create the spiritual essence of healing.
We are living the dream. Life is good! We are developing a wonderful staff that is so much a part of who we are and what we offer. We have new staff persons on their way to us as well. We’ll keep you informed about all fo the changes as we evolve into this new and wonderful campus dedicated to healing.

SPIRIT DANCE
February 3 10 am – 4 pm $88 6 contact hours
Spirit Dance is a experiential process that Keith and I developed to help folks learn to move their bodies. We have found that folks harbor emotions inside their bodies at a cellular level. It is through movement that we can help you learn to raise those emotions to the surface for release. It is a profound process that has a specific trajectory. This session will be focused on the Third Chakra, the power center of the body. For those who want to begin to empower your body to release pent up emotions this is an opportunity to learn techniques that will help you bring them to the service.
Remember to bring your sacred scarf or something with which to cover you eyes in case it comes around that you need to cover your eyes for the last part of the session. Dress in loose comfortable clothing and be ready to move move move…
